Who Am I?
Fatima Khawaja is a professional Chef based in Brooklyn, New York. Coming from Lahore, Pakistan to attend the Culinary Institute of America and earn her Bachelors in Culinary Arts, she worked for years in the Manhattan restaurants. From interning at Union Square Cafe, to cooking French as a Chef de Partie for Thomas Keller at Bouchon Bakery (RIP), all the way to spending years cooking some of the best Mexican food as a Senior Line Cook at Cosme, and moving up to Sous Chef for Camille Becerra at De Maria (another RIP) and countless other hospitality and kitchen gigs in between - she finally transitioned into private chef work and food media.

She started her own business Fatieats almost 5 years ago. And now provides all sorts of bespoke dining options for her clients, from meal preps for one, to curated 40 person parties that include wine pairings, rentals, staff and everything in between.
She also works as a Contributing Editor and Recipe Tester at Saveur Magazine, testing countless cookbooks, and developing recipes for her own Social Media and other publications.
Food Media
Fatima has been working in the food media space for over 5 years. She is currently at Saveur Magazine as a Contributing Editor, where she cross-tests recipes for publishing, pitches stories, recipes, and writes for print and digital. She supports the team through events, shoots and keeping a pulse on the industry. She was previously the Test Kitchen Manager for Saveur.
Fatima also works on cookbooks, testing hundreds of recipes, making sure they are accurate, and delicious for readers before publication.
Fatima has been published across multiple outlets, including SAVEUR, Serious Eats, Business Insider and FOOD52 in print, while also working on video for Epicurious.
